Gabriel Tan

Gabriel is a social entrepreneur, educator, and the driving force behind Bamboo Builders. With over a decade of experience, he has empowered 10,000+ youths to launch impact-driven projects across Singapore and ASEAN. Recognised as Impact Entrepreneur of the Year, 35 Under 35, 40 Under 40 and Top 10 Social Entrepreneurs in ASEAN (Australian Gov & ASEAN Foundation), Gabriel is a thought leader in education, social innovation, and systemic community development.
San Zin Zin Toe
Project Lead
Zin Zin is a project management specialist committed to driving large-scale social impact. She led Bamboo Builders’ largest-ever initiative, training 100,000 Singaporeans in scam resilience through a Google.org-backed programme. With a background in Finance, Marketing and extensive grassroots leadership experience, she bridges schools, charities, and institutions to create meaningful change. Her expertise in project management and operations has enabled her to impact thousands of families in Singapore.
Ng Kai Qing
Finance
Kai Qing supports the financial operations at Bamboo Builders, ensuring resources are well-managed to sustain the organisation’s mission. Outside of work, she served as the District Rotaract Representative of Rotaract District 3310, where she has led large-scale events such as the District Rotaract Learning Assembly, attended by over 100 participants. Her experience reflects a strong commitment to youth leadership and community impact.
Clara Goh
Project Lead
Clara brings a heart for service and a strategic mind to her role as Project Lead at Bamboo Builders. With over 30 years of experience in the Chemical Industry and project-based roles, she has led initiatives across the Asia Pacific, touching lives and driving meaningful change. Her passion lies in creating impact through social projects—finding joy in enriching lives, even in small ways. Clara’s extensive background allows her to blend innovation and collaboration in meeting human needs. Outside of work, she finds peace in nature, walking, and music.
Dr. Shannon Quek
Growth Lead
Dr. Shannon brings over 25 years of high-level professional experience to his role as Growth Lead at Bamboo Builders. With a unique double PhD in Organisational Leadership and Strategic Marketing, he is an expert in fundraising, sales, business development, and corporate training.
His leadership extends beyond the corporate world, with more than a decade as a Grassroots Leader serving under key government ministers. In recognition of his commendable public service to Singapore, Dr. Shannon is next in line to be awarded the very prestigious PBM (Public Service Medal).
