Virtual Job Matching Fair For ASEAN Foundation

Root Cause: Vietnam's pandemic has had a heavy impact on the Vietnamese labour market. ASEAN Foundation wanted to connect youth in Vietnam and ASEAN with figures in social enterprise actors in Vietnam and equip and inform participants with knowledge on how to adapt to the current COVID-19 skills, what relevant skills are needed amidst the pandemic particularly in relation to starting their own

​

Solution: Bamboo Builders consulted and implemented the virtual jobs matching fair in partnership with our social enterprise off-shoot YMCA Vietnam.

​

Results: The virtual employment session was a resounding success with a total viewership of 555 youths and attendance of 7 Vietnam-based social enterprises

Root Cause : Lack of education, health services and infrastructure are the major obstacles that Vietnam currently faces.

​

Solution: YMCA of Vietnam is a social enterprise that aims to serve and impact all members of the community, regardless of race, language or religion, through programmes, services and enterprises to develop the body, mind and spirit.

​

Results: Nearly 1000 youth across Vietnam

Traffic Safety Project

Root Causes: Negative peer pressure and lack of parental supervision and awareness lead to students' unsafe driving practices. 

​

Solution: In the annual student-run event that coincides with "Traffic Safety" month, parents, students, and teachers are invited to a time of food and games. The local police shares about traffic rules, while students collaborate with Entertainment Club to put up a drama regarding harmful consequences of traffic accidents. 

​

Results: Helmet sponsorship by Honda & SIM card sponsorship by VNPT  

Students earned 400k by selling local snacks, SIM cards, and working.

A total of 700 people turned up for the event. 

Anti Bullying Project

Root Cause: Parents compare children with others

​

Solution: Mr. Huynh Van Son, a famous psychological counselor in the issue of school bullying,agreed to give a talk in annual student-run event where parents, students, and teachers are invited to a time of food and games. He shared about the effects of bullying, while students collaborated with Entertainment Club to put up a drama regarding harmful consequences of bullying. 

​

Results: Students earned 1,100,000 VND by selling local snacks and working. They also created facebook page to sell squid. They still require 2,400,000 VND for the revenue for the event.

QT STORE 

Impact: Students from the Traffic Safety and Anti-Bullying projects came together to create an online clothing business, QT Store.
